Linoleum and Silkscreen Prints

This task was inspired by the Artworks of the Mambo streetwear clothing company in Australia. Images are created in linoleum as relief prints initially and then these are transferred via the rubbing process onto the fabric of the silkscreen. The resulting images retain the freshness of the lino cut with the vibrancy of the silkscreen repeat print pattern. Students were asked to complete at least 3 different colour passes and many prints involved 7-8 colours.
