Arts Spectrum I Course Overview

This course is designed to give students a broad range of experiences in both 2D and 3D Fine Art media. Practical experiences will include working across many Art disciplines including Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture and Ceramics. Students will be encouraged to think in creative and imaginative ways and use a variety of techniques in expressing themselves by communicating their ideas, beliefs and feelings. Media explored will include pencil charcoal, chalk, inks, acrylic and water color painting, silkscreen printing and etching, plaster, wire, paper maché and clay.

Students who are seriously interested in continuing with an Art career path should plan to take Art Spectrum I and II as a complete year-long course for portfolio preparation.
