Summer 2003
update
Greetings
everyone.
This will be
my final letter.
I would like to thank all the swimmers, parents and ASIJ
faculty who have made the sport of swimming here such a
great experience for me.
I have had a wonderful time being part of such a
dynamic school for the last thirteen years.
As we accept new challenges and changes in
ourselves and in our lives, it is now time for me to
look forward. However,
I would like to introduce the new coach. |

|
I am happy to announce the appointment of the new boys and
girls head varsity swim team coach.
Mr. Chris Barnes will take over this position beginning in
the 2003-04 season. Chris
has currently been working as the pool assistant for all of the PE
departments here on the Chofu campus.
He comes here with extensive knowledge and background in
competitive swimming. A
native of Canada, he achieved very high rankings in the senior
division of Canada’s competitive swimming programs.
Chris will tell you more about himself in next fall’s
coach’s corner. Please
welcome him.
I am off to the American Community School of Abu Dhabi in the UAE
where I start in August. My
family is looking forward to the move and to the new adventure.
All the best to ASIJ and I leave with fond memories of all the
teams and swimmers I had the pleasure to coach.
Good luck everyone.
Cheers,
Alan Kehe
