Corporations and organizations that
provide educational benefits to their employees are asked to consider participating
in the Contribution Program, a potentially cost effective alternative to paying school
fees, tuition and the Japanese individual income taxes on these educational benefits
. Please see Contribution Program/Corporate Scholarship Program
for a more detailed explanation.
The Board of Directors wants all
parents and organizations to be aware that tuition does not cover the
full cost of educating a student at ASIJ. Consequently, tuition and
fees would be significantly higher were it not for contributions and
other non-tuition income. Therefore, your continued support of the
School's voluntary contribution program is earnestly requested.
Nutritious, well-balanced
set lunches, including milk or juice, are available. Although students at the Chofu campus may purchase lunch tickets on a
day-to-day basis, some parents prefer to pay in advance. New parents
wishing to arrange for advance payment of cafeteria charges may obtain
a form for this purpose from the Office of Admissions. Tickets can
also be purchased in bulk from the kiosk or the cafeteria office.
Late Enrollment
For students enrolled after the school year commences, tuition and bus
fees will be calculated based upon academic quarters. Attendance for any
portion of a quarter will necessitate payment for the entire quarter.
Refunds
If a student will be withdrawn during any semester, parents should
notify the School in writing of the last expected day of attendance.
This notification must be received by the first day of classes in August
(if withdrawing
during the first semester) or the first day of second semester (if withdrawing during
the second semester) in order for a refund of tuitions & bus fees to
be made for any full academic quarter during which the student will not
attend.
Installment Payments
Payment of tuition and fees on installment
is an option available to individual families who are paying the annual
tuition (but not for companies and other organizations responsible for
covering educational expenses). A carrying charge will be added to cover
administrative costs. Please contact the Business Office at extension
300 for further information.
Scholarship
Program
The
school administers a limited scholarship program. Please contact the Office of Admissions for further information.
