Join our class as we take a trip through the world of plants. It all
begins with asking questions about plants and sharing what information we
know about plants. From this framework we will
explore various topics such as the life cycle of plants, the conditions a plant
needs in order to survive, what products come from plants and how plants
help people around the world survive. Various experiments will be done in
search of answers and understanding. We hope you will continue to check in
on our exciting adventure!How does a leaf grow? How does the bark on the tree get there? How does a cactus get spikes? Do plants survive without water? How do you know what plant should grow in the sunlight and what plant should not? How many types of plants are there? These are questions we hope to find answers for through our research and experimentation. We will use the internet, videos and books to help us in our search. |

We have started by planting seeds in the planters outside of our classroom. Our discoveries will be recorded in our Plant Journals through pictures and text. Everyday we will share our questions and findings with each other.
Water Basketball

Challenging Ourselves
Emily showed how she challenged herself one evening when she wrote a book about Labrador Retrievers. We will learn so much information from her book.
Her topics were ‘Wolves and Dogs are Very Close Cousins,’ ‘Labrador Retrievers,’ ‘ What They are Like,’ ‘Coat and Color,’ ‘The Size,’ ‘Care,’ ‘Feeding,’ and ‘Things They Need.’
“A good, warm and soft dog bed in a very quiet corner is the greatest place to go to bed in. a dog bed can be a cushion in a basket. Every once a week you should change the lining of the dogs bed.”
