My Fuchu Dai Ichi Friend Fall: My buddy and I learned that Japanese and Americans could be very good friends. My buddies name was Haruki. He turned out to adore soccer and catch. Before he came, I thought he would be mean and egotistic. He turned out to be nice and full of sharing English thoughts. I thought he would not speak any English. Although he almost spoke smoothly. I was expecting for him to like baseball. He instead liked soccer. I thought he would be big and tall. Haruki and I are kind of similar. Amazingly, we both like soccer. The day was as fine as can be. I thought it would be cold and rainy. It was hot and very clear. I thought the lower field would be clammy. I thought it would be very cloudy. It was not at all. I thought they would be late. They were extremely early. I thought my buddy would make a muddle, but he was very careful. I thought he would have a horrible mask and not listen to my guidelines. His mask turned out to be nicer than mine, and he did everything I said. I am looking forward to seeing my buddy again. I am also looking forward to making spinners at their school. I am looking forward to see a new school and eating eat with my buddy again. Spring: Fuchi dai ichi exchange was one of the most exciting days of my life. When we got there, there was an opening ceremony with a lot of opening speeches. We saw the kids playing with toys. We also got to see the marching band. They had really cool music! Then we saw a big dance with a lot of people. Then finally the opening ceremony was over and went to there classrooms. When we got to their classrooms they introduced the teacher. They also told the whole dayfs schedule and what we were going to make. We got to make byom-byom gomu spinners. I tried to do it but I couldnft do it at all. Then we got to go to recess in the gym. I tried to do the spinning tops but I stunk at doing it. My buddy had mastered everything in the gym. Then we got to go outside where there were a variety of things going on, including stilts, dodge ball, and kick ball. Then we got to get lunch. My buddy and me had total different things for lunch. Then we got goodie bags including byom-byom gomu, snappers, and popping pages. Then we took a tour of the school, Where every student was waving and clapping to us. They even had a aquarium and a Fuchu Dai Ichi museum. I saw them building the tennis courts. I saw the pool. We even saw every classroom in the school. Then we went back to the gym for the closing ceremony. We sung Its a Small World and they also played it on the recorder. We also heard the closing speeches. Then we said good bye to our buddies. Then finally we had to go as they were waving to us from outside the window and then we left. Now I know a friend is a friend no matter how they speak or look. @ Page made by Brian March 2004 @ |
