My Fuchu Dai Ichi Experience

@

Fall:

It` s always cool, exciting and wonderful when you get to meet a friend at another school, Fuchu Dai Ichi ! I` m going to talk about my buddy Paku and Maki. I guess they thought that I was an American.  I thought that Paku was Korean and she was! They were happy that I could speak Japanese. I thought I would be shy and I was. But they were shy, too.  I felt very good being with them.

My favorite time with them was recess! I knew I would like recess! They arrived 20 minutes early so we got to play a lot! They were thrilled and surprised about the playground. They said that they wanted to come to this school everyday. They were impressed about the equipment that was life-size. It was a long recess, so we kind of ran out of things to do. Lunch was yummy but I knew that I was a slow eater, so when I was eating my lunch Mrs. Fincher said to stop eating and get prepared to go up. But they were both slow eaters, HAHA! When we were making masks I made a mistake, but, who cares. It was O.K. I felt kind of horrific. When we went trick-or treating, I thought I could get candy but I heard that I couldnft get candy I was gloomy! But I was glad that they enjoyed it.

I thought that they had fun coming here and I had enjoyable day meeting them. They were excited about ASIJ 4th graders going to their school. I`m excited going to Fuchu Dai Ichi. Fuchu Dai Ichi must be a great school because they have nice 4th graders. I need to show my gratitude to Paku and Maki for being a great buddy. It was a great day and I hope I will have a great day like this at Fuchu Dai Ichi.

Spring:

Today February 17, we ASIJ 4th graders all went to Fuchu Dai Ichi!!! It was an eventful day. I would want to show you how the day was fantastic and eventful.

At 9:15 we were making sure with are stuff we needed witch were, a lunch, slippers or shoes that were not used and a jacket. I was getting very excited. At the bus me, Julie, Kendall, Abbey and Jasmin played cards. To me it was a long-long ride to FDI.

Around 10:00 we were at FDI, I havenft seen my partner Paku and Maki for a long time so I really felt good when they greeted me. I saw a lot of smiles, heard laughter and hellos. When we were in the entrance of the school all of us had to change in to slippers because itfs rude for walking in with your ordinary shoes and thatfs one of the things that they do in normal Japanese school. We did the opening ceremony in the gym. In the ceremony we heard speeches and watched what kind of activities we were going to do, two surprising things were the traditional dance that came from Hokkaido called solanbushi and the 6th grade marching band. Te dance was very energetic I wonder how they keep their breath. When the band started playing I could feel my heart vibrate they played grandfather clock and another song.

After the ceremony we went in the classroom and made byun –byun Gomas. A top that spins by twisting a string. They werenft hard to make but you need a while to learn haw to spin it, you will need good rhythm Paku was very good at spinning it.

At recess we did take-uma. Take-uma is a bamboo toy witch you get on and try to walk. It was soooooooooooooo hard that I could only take one to three steps!!!! Paku and Maki helped me so much that I felt thankful they would cheer for me even doe I only could take one step.

12:10-12:40 was lunch. In ASIJ you will start eating at 11:25 so we had to wait for almost an hour. I was very very hungry. My lunch was very yummy. It tasted tastier because I was having fun.

Next we had a tour around the school. It was a very big school and they had a way different style. Most of all the pool was big, probably it was bigger than are pool in ASIJ!!!!!

At 1:25-1:55 we did the closing ceremony. When I think itfs getting closer to time to say goodbye I feel very gloomy. The speeches were great.

2:00 ofclock the time to say goodbye. My buddies an I waved are hands until we couldnft see each others my hand was tired.

I wish one day I can see them again and have a wonderful day like this.
