My Fuchu Dai Ichi Day Spring: I thought it would be different then what happened when Fuchu Dai Ichi came to ASIJ. Yasuhiro turned out to be very nice and a good friend. I thought it would be hard to talk to him. It turned out he likes soccer and I do too. We played soccer the whole recess. Yasuhiro was very cool because he is so good at soccer. When we played soccer he did a lot of headers. I thought his head would start to hurt. It was kind of hard to show him how to make the mask but it was sort of easy. Fuchu Dai Ichi came way too early, we were not expecting them to be standing there waiting for us. The first thing we did was go back to the classroom and they dropped their backpacks off. Then we did a little play with songs. Then, we went down to recess. After that we had lunch. Next we made our cookies, our masks, and our spider bracelets. We did a tiny trick or treating thing by our class. My buddy got candy but we didnft get any candy. One of the things in fourth grade I am looking forward to is seeing my buddy again in February. But I guess Ifll just have to wait. While Ifm waiting I should just be glad Ifm in fourth grade. I canft wait to go to Fuchu Dai Ichi so I can see my buddy. I canft wait to see their playground. I wonder if they have a field? I wonder what their classroom will look like because I want to see a Japanese classroom. I guess Ifll have to wait till February. But, while Ifm waiting I should just have fun! Spring: This paragraph is going to be about my day at Fuchu Dai Ichi. The first thing we did was we got on the bus and it took at least an hour to get to Fuchu Dai Ichi. When we got there we lined up in number order and met out buddies for the second time. Then we set off to put on our indoor shoes on. The place where you put on our indoor shoes it is shelves to put your shoes and your indoor shoes. Then we went to the gym for the opening ceremony where they did special performances for the 4th graders of ASIJ. They did tricks with tops and they used cool spinners. They also juggled with beanbags and they did something like bad mitten. The last things they did a dance with Japanese music. After that we went to their classroom. Once there we made spinners with our buddies at little tables unlike ours at ASIJ. We used markers, string, glue and scissors to make the spinners. When we were done with the spinners it turned out it was time for recess. At recess they had stilts, they had something that is like bad mitten, they had dodge ball and they had a jungle gym. First my buddy and I played dodge ball. After we played dodge ball we played the bad mitten thin. After that we went back to dodge ball. After doing those three things we had just enough time to play on the jungle gym. When recess was over we went back to the classroom and had lunch and joked around a bit. The next thing we did was say good bye to our buddies and they gave us a bag of little trinkets that they made for us. Then the 4th graders of ASIJ went for a little tour around the school and ended up in the gym again where we had the opening ceremony where our buddies were waiting for us. So we sat down with our buddies. Then in came the school band with tubas, trumpets and drums and everything else. When the band left some of the 4th graders from Fuchu Dai Ichi played the tune of itfs a small world on recorders. While they played that tune on a recorder the rest of us all sang it. When that was over we walked to the buses saying good bye to everyone. It took at least another hour to get back to our school. We got back in the nick of time because we were just in time for recess! Now you know what happened at Fuchu Dai Ichi! Page made by Michael March 2004 |
