My Rube Goldberg machine wakes up a snoring dad, a dad that likes to take naps in the middle of the afternoon. The first step to wake up a snoring dad with my machine is to let a mouse out of its cage. The mouse runs to the string cheese and eats the string cheese. The stretched spring collapses then pulls the boot at a watermelon on top of a skateboard. The science concept that is in this step is potential energy because there is potential energy in the boot. The simple machine in this step is a spring. It is one of our most simple of simple machines.

The watermelon on the skateboard rolls down the inclined plane. There are two simple machines in this one step. The first simple machine is called the wheel and axel. Without the wheel and axel there wouldn’t be any cars. The second simple machine is the inclined plane. The inclined plane is a very useful simple machine. The science concept is kinetic energy because the skateboard started moving.

Then, the skateboard stops because of a little block at the end of the inclined plane. Then, the watermelon will fall into the basket. The science concept in this step is Newton’s law #2, which is an object in motion, will stay in motion unless another force acts upon it.

The basket falls and the basket was connected to a string and that string led around the two pulleys and it was knotted around the ring and opens the window shade. The science concept in this step is gravity because when the basket falls down. The simple machine in this step is the pulley.

Then after that, the sunlight comes through the window and the magnifying glass, which makes the sunlight focused onto the rope and that rope was holding a toilet up in the air. The sunlight then burns through the rope. The science concept that is used in this step is potential energy because the toilet being held up and is holding still.

The before hanging toilet then falls onto the lever. There are two science concepts in this step. The first science concept is gravity because the toilet falls onto the lever. The second science concept is kinetic energy because since the toilet falls falling is a way of moving and kinetic energy ca only is stored when moving.

So then, the lever tilts a bucket of water onto the father. Now, time for the last simple machine of my Rube Goldberg machine which is the lever because the lever is finally in action. The science concept in this step is Newton’s law #3 and that is for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction and this law takes place when one arm of the lever goes up and other arm goes down.

Now for the last step, which is, the dad then wakes up and stops snoring. Now the last science concept and it is gravity because after the bucket is tilted the water is not out yet and so gravity kicks in right after the bucket is tilted. What you just heard or read is my Rube Goldberg machine.
