GOLF TIME By TIM
I was amazed when Miss Fincher showed us simple machines. It was so fascinating to learn that simple machines have every day uses. Miss Fincher thought of a wonderful idea to finish up our science unit by creating our own simple machine. I had a lot of choices and finally came up with a way of getting a golf ball on a tee and a golf club into your hand.
Here are the steps: · you have a little golf ball and you drop it onto a lever called a catapult. · A stick, with an elastic strip between the prongs, rapidly fires into the air and when there is a golf ball it fires that into the air and goes into a see-through box · It then goes into a box that contains one long ramp the golf ball rolls down. It is an inclined plane that acts as a ramp that goes into a tube · the golf ball then gets pulled down by gravity and rolls down the tube and hits a panel that chops a rope · then the platform moves up so it connects to another platform · and then the ball rolls down and gets stopped by a plank of wood and lands on a tee. The golf club now has an easy stand and you push on a lever and it pops out.
