Research Steps

 

1. Defining
Choose an interesting and appropriate topic.
Develop good open ended questions.
Identify keywords and phrases.

Activities

 

  • Introduce content area.
    · Read books, watch videos, look at visual information to build background knowledge.
    · Brainstorm list of ideas for individual student research.
    · Talk about question and what is a good question
    · Model brainstorming/creating good questions which students could apply to their topic.
    (6 w's)

Identify keywords and phrases which will help students identify information and answer their questions.

· List serves
· Discussion groups

Review keyword concept with computer teacher.
