Ninja Spies

By Jakob Knudsen

I walked into the playroom. There were games everywhere. There were toys on shelfs and in the closets. The playroom had a big couch. There was also a T.V in our room. I had lots of games too. I had a whole box of costumes. There was a small closet with a lot of DVDs and toys.

In a funny voice, Ben asked, “Do you want to spy on mom and dad? I said sure. Ben and I went spying a lot together. We pretend to be like ninjas, hugging walls, dashing under tables and trying to stay hidden for a long time. My mom always finds us when we hide. Spying can be about surprise. And sneaking around into places.

It was hard to find a good costume to go spying. We had lots of costumes to choose from. Costumes were being flung around, flying in the air like crazy. But I kept looking. I also tried a few things on, but they were too small. Finally I picked a good costume to wear. I was a wizard and it was funny. I had a funky black hat with silver stars on it. I had a had a long coat. It was like a black robe with stars. We got dressed up into our costumes.

When me and Ben had good costumes we went out of the playroom to sneak around and went down stairs. We went down the stairs on our tipytoes because it was quieter. Nobody could hear us. When we reached the bottom we went sliding across the floor. We heard that someone was talking. I bet it was mom. We froze when we heard the noise. We also heard that the T.V was turned on.

When nobody was looking we dashed under the table. I think my mom looking for us, but I don’t know? Maybe she heard us giggling? Dad was still watching T.V. Mom was pretending to talk to dad. It was very weird. But after she was done talking to dad she looked under the  table and said BOO and we were like AHAHAHAH. We dashed up from under the table and we were laughing at the same time. We were running up the stairs will laughing. When  we got to the top of the stairs we were still laughing. If we wanted to  keep playing we could and if we didn’t  we didn’t have to. We usually don’t. It was very fun. When we were done we took off our costumes Ben said that was fun and I agreed with him
