The End

By Andrew Howe

The end is the end
Of that end
And had an end
That will end
The end of this.
But that is not the end
Of this book,
The title of this book is THE END
And now
The end is
The end.
THE END

A Piece of Peace
By Andrew

A piece of peace
Had a piece of peace
That was missing a piece,
The piece of peace
Found the piece,
And that is how the pieces of peace
Ended in peace.

Haiku
By Hana Donovan

Snow is like white rice
Falling from above the sky
Snowflakes like white stars

Haiku
By Hana Donovan

The hose is a snake
It sticks out its tongue when you turn it on
It slithers when you pull it across the grass

Love, Peace, Joy
By Makena Gallagher

Peace feels like you’re on a cloud singing with God.
Peace tastes like a Shirley Temple with a cherry.
Peace sounds like birds chirping with the wind.
Peace smells like flowers swaying in the meadow.
Peace looks like me sleeping outside with Mother Nature.

JAWS

Peace Nearby the Meadows
By Liona Sadler

Imagine you are in the meadows, nearby a river.
Peace is all around you.
You are there, lying down on the fresh green grass.
The fresh breeze blowing in your face.
Tastes like sweet apple crunching in your mouth,
Smells like clean rain drops, dropping down a bright leaf.

Peace Poem
By Fiona

Imagine lying down on the beach,
You can hear the waves going back and forth,
When you look up,
You see the clouds
And also the bright sun.
When you go into the water,
Everything is quiet and peaceful.
When you come up again to catch a breath,
you hear people talking in whispers,
Going into the water is peace for me.

Peace Recipe
By Ruby O’Keefe

To make a peace cake
This is what you need:
A pinch of love
Some words of care
The blue of the sky
A bag of jelly beans
Half of the things you like
A friend’s heart
Milk from a peace cow
A little bit of naughtiness, so the cake will not be boring
Then mix it all together
Put it in the oven to bake
Set the clock for thirty minutes
And when you take it out…
You’ll have a peace cake!

Snowflakes
by Isa Lostaglio and Jaime Lee

Gently falling to the ground,
Everywhere they make no sound
People watching near and far
Looking at the Northern Star.

Flowers
by Isa Lostaglio and Jaime Lee

Flowers are needy for water, sun and soil,
If they don’t get it they’ll crumple
Up like foil, Roses, Daisies and Lilacs too
Let’s try to make them beautiful and new.

Ice cream
by Isa Lostaglio and Jaime Lee

Ice cream is yummy
Lick-a-ty-dick-a-ty-lick
Butterscotch, vanilla, and chocolate mint
But it drips and it drips all over
Your shoes, and maybe it will
Turn your shoes blue!

THE CHEETAH
By Rachel Wilson

Black spots with a yellow coat.
Teeth that can stab your heart,
jaws that can break your bones.
Faster than a lion,
much cuter than a wildebeest.
Peering out from trees,
its glowing eyes say,
“Don’t mess with me!
I am a fierce cheetah.”

THE ORCHESTRA OF RAIN
By Rachel Wilson

Splash, splash.
Cars drive by dumping water on people with umbrellas.
Ting! Ting!
Raindrops fall on metal roofs like glass cups hitting each other.
Splat, splat.
Rain hits the window and slides down like tears on my face.
I don’t have to go to a concert to listen to the orchestra of rain.

THE BLACK CAT
By Rachel Wilson

A cat.
A black cat will appear.
In the boat, in the black river,
where the cool breeze blows,
you will only hear a soft “meow.”
By nighttime, at 12 O’clock,
it will begin its hunt.
Leaping quietly as a feather,
with a blink of an eye,
it will disappear.

Sunlight Friendship
By Makena

When I see the sun
I think of you, my best friend
Shining on my face

SNOW
by George and Felix

The snow is falling
The leaves are full of cold snow
The light makes snow bronze

Rocks are Boring
by George and Felix

Rocks are so boring
Rocks do nothing but sit down
Rocks never have friends

Couches
by George and Felix

Couches are fluffy
Couches are very bouncy
Couches are so odd
Every couch does not get hurt
That’s why they are ODD

Sled Dogs
By Amanda Murphy

Fluffy dogs
Who pull a sled
With all their might
Through the snowy weather
Tired or not
Still going
Still going
