Recommended Reading Lists
The librarians at the ASIJ elementary library try to ensure that all 20,000 books in the library make for good reading material. To ensure maximum service, ASIJ parents are entitled to check out up to 25 books at any given time. When looking for a good book, there are several strategies you can follow.
Nothing can beat coming to the library and browsing the library shelves. Holding the books in your hands and having a brief look through is the best way to make a selection.
Unfortunately, you don't always have the time to browse the shelves. A close second is to make your selection from home. Our Library Catalog is accessible over the Internet for your perusal. Make your selection online and send it to your librarians over the phone or via email. We will send the books home with your child.
Another approach is to use a list of books recommended by studenst or library professionals. Please have a look at the booklists below.
