You and your group are members of a new colony and feel strongly that a newspaper is needed. Your groups job is to create an editorial team and assign members of your group to research and write stories for this newspaper focusing on your Colonial Community. The newspapers motto is "Your News  from your Colony."

Your task is to write the following 5 articles and create a two page Newspaper using Microsoft Publisher.

• An article sharing your Colonies Rules and Charter. Include the rules and charter within the article.

• An interview with your Colonial leader or leaders.

• Have a sketch (drawn and then scanned) with a description of why you decided to settle in this area of America. (Give us the advantages of this location compared to others you might have considered.)

• An article featuring a current event about your colony. Here are some suggestions
  - French Colony: focus maybe on Fort Life or Fur Trading.
  - Spanish Colony: focus maybe on encounters and conflicts with the native American population near your colony.
  - English/Dutch Colony: focus on daily event like candle making, butter making, a witch trial, crops, or a meeting about the problems with your colonies relationship with the mother land.

• An article describing the trip from Europe to the Colony and an account of life in the colony for the first six months.

• You then need to publish the newspaper using Microsoft Publisher
