We live in a wired world, our lives are surrounded by digital technology and it is fast becoming a seamless part of every child's day, at school and home. Students today work, live and play in this digital environment with great ease and very little fear.  Children are quick to explorer, experiment and travel within this new medium with little hesitation. Schools and parents today have mostly focused their attention with this issue on the teaching of technology and application skills. An area which often is overlooked is online safety and the ethics of living in a digital world. At ASIJ we teach children netiquette and computer usage guidelines as part of our curriculum. (See our Acceptable Use Policy)

Below you will find a series of links, resources and ideas on how you as a parent can help and explore these issues of online safety and ethics with your children. Included are strategies, tips and discussions for families to use as place to start a dialogue with children on these topics.
