Once upon a time
long long ago a samurai was walking. All of a sudden, he saw a
tiny tiny little boy. He took him home. Years went by. Inch Boy
grew older and older but he did not grow bigger or taller. One
day the samurai turned into a statue and Inch Boy got really mad.
We go to get the daruma in the secret cave underground but we're underground. We walked and walked. Then we saw a temple. We got into it. Here was the Badger. He puts us in jail. He locks the door and leaves the keys outside of the door. Inch Boy squeezes through the bars and picks up the keys and unlocks the door. We get out. We tried to find the Badger but we couldnt find him anywhere.
The badger appears with the daruma in his hand. Then Inch Boy turned into a statue and the samurai said, "Give me that!"
But the badger said no. So the samurai ran up to him and took the daruma. He tried to turn Inch Boy back to his regular form but it didnt work. Then the samurai realized that he did not know how to use it. He turned around fast. He said, "How do you use this daruma?"
"I'm not telling," said the badger.
Meanwhile, the emperor sees the samurai back at the temple with the badger. Another badger walked into the door. He had seen the samurai and he saw Inch Boy. I said to myself I think that one is a good badger.
He said to me, "I am a good badger."
"YOU ARE!" I screamed. "Can you
turn Inch Boy back to his real form?"
"Yes," said the badger, "If I can get the
daruma."
"Maybe I can get it," I said.
I pulled another one just like the magic one.
I said, "This is a more powerful one. I will trade you."
"No," said the badger. "I will not."
"Why not?" I asked.
"'Cause I said so."
All of a sudden Inch Boy came back. Then Inch Boy took something out of his pocket.
Then I said, "What is that?"
He said," It's a needle."
I said, "Go get him!"
"Okay."
He poked and poked and poked and poked even more until he was all out of breath. The badger fell down so we turned the samurai statue back to the real samurai.
