Origami

Origami is the art of folding paper. A lot of origami figures are made without tape and glue. Origami is used in some ceremonies. A long time ago they had no scissors. They just had to fold without cutting. If someone is sick and they're going to die soon, then you can make 1000 cranes for them. It is for good luck and then maybe they will feel better. With origami you can make a lot of stuff. I think the crane is the most famous origami figure. Origami started 900 years ago. In weddings they use origami. Folding paper has been an important part of folk ritual in Japan. There are a few early paper foldings to be found in other countries and cities. Some people put designs on their origami paper. With origami I can make a lot of things like a cup. There are a lot of origami stories especially about the crane. Long ago the paper was expensive because it was handmade. By the time of 1900 it got cheaper because now it's made with machines. That is what I know about origami.
