Ikebana began by putting flowers in front of Buddha. The Japanese
people are teaching girls how to make ikebanas. Ikebana
are usually found in homes. Japanese people like to grow a lot of
trees. Ikebana means flower kept alive. The Japanese people care
about which kind of fiowers it is. The Japanese people care about
which color it is. The Japanese people also care about which
container it is. The Japanese people also care about where they
go in the container. Ikebana came from China. Flowers are put on
a round thing with spikes on it. It is called a kenzan. To make
ikebana you need branches and a flower and a tall vase and a pair
of garden clippers and Ikebana scissors. I did Ikebana in my
class. I liked it.
