Ikebana

Ikebana means putting flowers together. Ikebana began by putting flowers in front of Buddha. The Japanese people are teaching girls how to make ikebanas. Ikebana are usually found in homes. Japanese people like to grow a lot of trees. Ikebana means flower kept alive. The Japanese people care about which kind of fiowers it is. The Japanese people care about which color it is. The Japanese people also care about which container it is. The Japanese people also care about where they go in the container. Ikebana came from China. Flowers are put on a round thing with spikes on it. It is called a kenzan. To make ikebana you need branches and a flower and a tall vase and a pair of garden clippers and Ikebana scissors. I did Ikebana in my class. I liked it.
