Cheetah - Description

Families: Cheetah families are very close to each other.Cheetah mothers are very protective of their young if a hyena or a predator is near.

Facts: People used the cheetah to help them hunt in ancient times.

Description: The cheetah has long legs and a small head and the cheetah's tail helps it to balance.The cheetah has small black spots on a tan background and black tear tracks from inside the eye. No animal is more graceful than a running Cheetah. The Cheetah is 4 feet long and weighs up to 100-130 pounds.

Behavior: If any animal comes too close the mother will hiss and swat. Cheetahs mark their territory. Males spray urine on trunks.

Protection: The Cheetah is the fastest animal in the world. The claws grip the ground to make a sharp turn.

Endangered: Cheetahs are endangered by poachers.Cheetahs once live all over the African and Indian grassland but hunters killed so many Cheetah for skin.
