The De Brazza's monkey has one baby every year. When the babies are alone they sometimes suck their thumb. The De Brazza baby monkey has a pink face. Scientists don't know when the monkeys die or when the babies start eating grown-up food. After the baby is born it holds onto the mom for three weeks then they run and climb.
Description
The Spider Monkey looks like a spider. The boy monkey is up to two feet and its tail is up to three feet. The Owl Monkey has very big eyes for seeing in the dark.
Communication
Tame chimpanzees can do sign language.
Endangered
The orangutan's worst enemies are people because they destroy their habitat. Some monkeys get sold for pets because they are well liked.
Behavior
Some monkeys take baths in springs to keep warm in the winter. Some monkeys are trained to get coconuts and they get paid in bananas.
