Cheetah babies are called cubs. Cheetah cubs are born in groups.They don't walk until 3 weeks after they are born. They drink milk from their mothers. The baby cheetah is protected by their mothers. The babies weigh 9 to 10 ounces at birth. Half them of die in their first 8 months. The cheetah has 2to5 young. Both parents care for the young. They stay with their mom till they are 2 years old.The baby cheetah is blind at birth. The baby cheetah is blind for 10 days.

The spots on a cheetah help to camouflage it. The yellowish fur helps camouflage it too. People call the color buff colored, tawny and yellowish. The spots on the cheetah are 1 to 2 inches long. The king has long spots.The tip of the tail is white with black spots. The black markings from it's eyes look like tear tracks. Its head is small. The cheetah has a small face.The face is triangular. The cheetah is built for speed. The legs are long. The cheetah has a springy backbone.
