Giraffe

Description

The giraffe that lives in different places have different patterns on their fur. Reticulated giraffes gets its name from the African coat. Its coat is covered with network and white lines and brown patches. Most of their great height comes from their long necks and long legs. Giraffes can live 15 to 25 years. Their heart is 2 feet tall and about 20 pounds. Male giraffes' horns get thicker and stronger. Giraffes have such big bodies that their heads may look small .

Food

Their favorite food is leaves of trees.

Communicate

All giraffes have quiet voices.

Babies

Within an hour after it is born, a baby giraffe is able to stand up and take milk from its mother.

Predators

Lions are their enemies.

Interesting facts

The tallest giraffe was 20 feet tall. Giraffes are the tallest animals in the world.
