The animal I researched is called the black rhino. The black rhino is 63 inches to 160 centimeters. The black rhino is 10 to 12 feet or 3-3.65 meters long. The black rhino weighs 2,200- 4,000 pounds (1000~1814 kilograms). The black rhino has thick skin. Scientists say the black rhino is the strangest looking animal in the world. They say it looks like a living tank because of the horn and body armor. The black rhino has two horns and gray skin. the black rhino eats leaves, fruit, flowers and herbs. The black rhino is a herbivore. The black rhino has to travel far to get to his food. The male black rhino travels in groups up to 10. Black rhinos travel out in open. The mother black rhino stays with its calf for four years. Rhinos take mud baths. Rhinos love mud baths. Black rhinos take mud baths for hours to protect it self from the sun. The black rhino has two horns and are very short temper.. They will charge any one who he thinks is a threat. After missing a charge, it will snort very loudly. Birds help keep the black rhino clean and keep watch for danger. The black rhino is endangered because poachers will kill them for thir horns to sell. Now the police will shoot to kill any poacher who trys to kill a black rhino.
