Baboon

by Chris

I researched the baboons. They can be as big as a large dog . They have large cheek pouches, eyes close together, good hearing and eye sight. They weigh 14-40 kilograms and 30-88 pounds . They eat a variety of food such as fruits, bird eggs and many more things. They eat plants and animals. They are herbivores and carnivores. They like to live in wooded areas and there are troops of baboons up to 40 or 50 of them. When resting, the baboons groom each others fur. The baboons protection is his teeth, sleeping in high tree tops and their strong arms and legs. When there is a predator near by, they start signalling each other with their tails. The largest of all baboons are the Chacma baboon and the Common baboon and the smallest baboon is the Redish Guinea baboon. Baboons are very smart animals.
