Gerenuk

The gerenuk can be 213cm if it stands on its hind legs. It can weigh up to 110 pounds and they are large. The gerenuk has a long neck and brown fur. The gerenuk eats leaves, shoots and flowers and it is a herbivore. The gerenuk lives in the dry bushes of Africa. It lives in herds.They use horns to protect themselves. One baby is born each year. There can be a male or female that is born each year. The gerenuk are very,very fast. It is very rare if there are twin baby gerenuk. The baby male leaves its mother after 1 year. The females stay in groups. The male holds a 1 mile territory.
