Here are some facts about the lion . A lion is 3. 3-4 feet long(1-1.2 meters) . The lion has a tail ) up to 11 feet tall ( 3.5 meters) . They weigh up to 550 pounds ( 250 kilograms ) . They are a golden color, harry, smart , and the males are good looking animals . The lion lives throughout the Savannah . Lions are cats . Lions live in Africa south of the Sahara . Lions live in a pride . A pride is a group . A lion can eat 65 pounds of meat in one single meal . A lion eats zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, antelope, but lions favorite things to eat are buffalo , and giraffes . A female lion has 2-3 babies in one litter . Babies are killed by hyenas ,leopards ,and other male lions . Lions protect their babies with their teeth ,claws and eyes . Lions sleep most of the day . Hyenas are the lions worst enemy . An ostrich can rip a lion’s belly and a giraffe can kick a lion and it is deadly .
