The Python

The python is 3 to 5 feet long. It can not hear. It has no eye lids. It is large.

It is black and yellow. It eats cheetahs, jackals, and small mammals and birds. Then the food has to digest for a week or so. It can taste smell and eat. It isn’t a danger to humans. It bites and it strikes animals. It can lay up to 100 eggs. Pythons are attracted to water. They live by themselves in trees. Pythons can swim well. The tongue is important to sense

smell and taste. The pythons can live up to 40 years. The python is a land

animal. African pythons usually are found in termites’ nests. The Ball Python lives in West Africa.
