What is grown on this island? Where?

Good crops are potatoes and onions grown in large fields. Farming in large, dry fields is done in Hokkaido. In Hokkaido there is 90% of the dairy farming in Japan. The main crops are rice, grain and vegetables in Hokkaido. Hokkaido has the biggest rice farms in Japan. Potatoes grow all over Hokkaido. Wheat grows on the eastern side of Hokkaido. Barley grows on the north coast. Rice is grown on the central coast and lower coastal area. Pears and apples grow in the north, in the middle and southern coast.
