What do people do on this island?

Some of the biggest special things are the Sapporo snow festival, Hokkaido shrine festival and the Lilac festival in Odori park. A lot of people chop timber. There are many people who come to visit Sapporo. The main occupations on Hokkaido are dairy farming, fishing and wood things. Two under-ground shopping centers (Pole town and Auroa town), are very popular in winter months. And in the Suskino area they have over then3,000 bars, restaurants and over night inns. In Hokkaido they do timber, fishing, mining, farming and they get coal.
