Rivers and Lakes by Era

What lives in and around the rivers and lakes?
There are three types of wild animals in
Japan depending on the area. Hokkido at the uper end of the
archepelgo, is popular for it's brown bears, sabe's and northern
foxes. The other three major islands of Honshu, Kyushu, and
Shikoku are in the area of wild boars, deer, raccoon dogs, bears,
weasels, mandarin ducks. The Mandarin duck was found in England,
East Asia, Japan, eastern China, Korea and eastern Siberia in
1700s. It is in the geese and ducks family and it looks like it
is wearing a beautiful coat. The female usually makes nests in a
hole in a high tree and lays eggs. The raccoon dogs are mammals
and are from the dog family. There length is 2 to 2 and 1/2
pounds it eats insects, fish, amphibians, birds and small mammals.
It lives in Sibrea.
