What are some
interesting facts about Kyushu?
Kyushu has the largest volcano in the
world which is Mt. Aso. On Kyushu the first Emperor was born.
Nagasaki was the only place open to ships from other contries
during the Tokugawa period. In the ninth century Nagasaki was the
only way inside to Japan to the outside world. On Kyushu the
first Europeans set up trading areas. In Kyushu they make these
little dolls that are named Hakata-ningyo. Kyushu has four of
Japan's most beautiful parks. Kyushu, means ''nine areas."
