Where are the mountains in Japan? How much of Japan is mountains?

Japan's land is mostly mountains. Mountains cover 3/4's of Japan's land. Most people live on a skinny piece of land along the pacific coast of Honshu. The Kitami, Teshio, Kidaka are the chief mountain ranges of the island of Hokkaido, Shikoku and Kyushu. On Honshu the Ou, Echig, Kitakami, Abukama are the chief mountaim ranges.
