Where do most
people live? Why?
The first people to live in Hokkaido were
the Ainu. The Japanese defeated the Ainu by the Takida family.
The Taikida family were ruling Hokkaido. A lot of people live in
Sapporo, the biggest city. Most people don't live in Hokkaido
because the winter months there are very cold. In Sapporo there
is lots of flat land and it is by the ocean, so lots of people
can live in Sapporo. That makes it easier to live in Sapporo.
That's why Sapporo is the biggest city.
