Geography by Sarah

What is grown on
this island? Where?
Good crops are potatoes and onions grown
in large fields. Farming in dry, large fields is done in
Hokkaido. In Hokkaido there is 90% of the dairy farming in Japan.
The main crops are rice, grain and vegetables. Hokkaido has the
biggest farms in Japan. Potatoes grow all over Hokkaido. Wheat
grows on the eastern side of Hokkaido. Barly grows on the north
coast of Hokkaido. Rice is grown on the central coast and lower
coastal area. Pears and apples grow in the north and in the
middle and south east.
