What is grown on this island? Where?

Good crops are potatoes and onions grown in large fields. Farming in dry, large fields is done in Hokkaido. In Hokkaido there is 90% of the dairy farming in Japan. The main crops are rice, grain and vegetables. Hokkaido has the biggest farms in Japan. Potatoes grow all over Hokkaido. Wheat grows on the eastern side of Hokkaido. Barly grows on the north coast of Hokkaido. Rice is grown on the central coast and lower coastal area. Pears and apples grow in the north and in the middle and south east.
