What do people do on this island?

Some of the biggest special things are the Sapporo snow festival, Hokkaido shrine festival and Lilac festival in Odori park. A lot of people make timber. There are many people who come to visit Sapporo. The main occupations on Hokkaido are fishing, dairy farming and making wooden things. Two under- ground shopping centers are very popular in winter months (Pole Town and Aroura Town.) And in the Suskino area they have 3,000 bars, resturants and over-night inns. In Hokkaido they do timber, fishing, minning, farming and they find coal.
