BeforeTokyo was called Edo. In 1868 the
name Edo was change to Tokyo. In kabuki men do the women`s job
because long ago women were not allowd to be on stage. Tokyo
started out as a small fishing village. It was rebuilt after the
1923 Kanto earthquake and again after the bombing of World War
ll! Ieyasu Takagawa built the great Edo castle and that`s how it
became a city. About 10,000,000 peoples jams Tokyo`s trains each
day. "Pushers" shove 300 people into a car disighined
for 100. When Tokyo was called Edo the capital of Japan was
Kyoto. Tokyo has lots of tall buildings and modern free ways and
factories and busy shopping centers.
