Rivers and Lakes by Will

Are the lakes and rivers kept clean? How?
Lake Kuttara is the cleanest lake in
Japan. It's kept clean by people not throwing garbege and other
kinds of stuff. In Japan there are lots of water falls so that
makes the rivers flow fast and makes the rivers clean. The rivers
in Japan are deep and flow fast and the fast moves of the water
helps keep the water clean. Japan has many factories that have
been built by the water. Sometimes these factories dump waste
into rivers and dirty them. The large cities that are by the
water have caused the water to become polluted. To stop the
rivers and lakes from becoming polluted and poisoning animals and
people, Japan has to make a very strong laws. An Enviromental
Agency was made that made water treatment plants to clean the
water. They also watched to make sure factories don't dump
harmful chemicals into the water. Science centers were to setup
to measure how clean the river and lakes are.
