Meerkats

The meerkat has black ears and a black nose. It has a thin tail and strips that are gray and brown. They often stand on their back legs to see if there is danger. The meerkat protects itself by running fast. The meerkat is blind when it is born, but it opens its eyes in 14 days. The meerkat is very interesting because it eats scorpions with out being hurt by the poison. The meerkat eat insects, spiders, small mammals , lizard, bird and their egg, snail, roots, fruit and more! The meerkat lives in a burrow with 30 other meerkats.
