Tama Zoo Field Trip
by Janet
Our class went to Tama Zoo. I had a good time. I liked feeding and petting the baby goat. It was SO cute and nice to me. I fed it old grass from the road. I thought the monkeys and their equipment was cool because there was a pole with little things hanging out from the sides, where the monkeys could sit on and rest if they got tired of climbing. I even saw a baby monkey who was riding on it's mother's back up the pyramid like hill, where the equipment was. I learned that when you go to the zoo with your class, you do some funish hardish work on taking notes on animals, even if you are hungry and tired, it's worth finishing it before lunch because lunch refreshes you and you don't want to work after that. In the insectarium, I saw a beautiful butterfly that had gorgeous wings with blue on them. I got to touch them (Ms Takeuchi had to help me though). I also enjoyed saying hi to the "cuty boys" - as we called them. I don't know why they were so scared of us because they kept running away. Geez! We're just people! What scardy cats! Maybe they were annoyed. Oh, at any rate, back to the Zoo part. I saw thirteen mammals twenty birds, zero amphibians, zero reptiles, three fish and forty three insects.
