Lore
The Inuits have lore such as the"Raven's Great adventure" where a Raven's beak fell off because it was tired from stealing too many fish. The beak turned into an old jaw and the fishermen brought it to the chief. The chief put it on and turned into a Raven and flew away. Another part of lore is that to catch a wolf, a hunter must cut his finger, smear the blood on the knife, and stab the knife into the ground or ice. Another story is where the Inuit's day is comprised of darkness, and a Raven steals daylight from the land of daylight, but it is only enough for half the year.
Lemming
These are rodents that burrow in snow and every few years, they increase and decrease. They make nests out of their hair, grass, moss, and lichen. Norway lemmings have overpopulated and made other animals migrate. They are found around glaciers more than any other animals. They don't "death walk" into lakes or off cliffs like some stupid rumors say. In fact, they are talented swimmers!
Lapland
This is a "country" or region, in Finland, Norway, Sweden, and U.S.S.R. Sami, the locals, work hard to survive and due to sub-zero temperatures, they can't grow crops. They are especially big on raising reindeer. The Sami have survived in weather in which not many could survive. The stationary families use huts, but alot of them take down their tents and migrate with their herd of reindeer. They put ear markings on their reindeer, which is like branding a horse.
