Arctic Lynx
The Arctic lynx eats small animals like lemmings, Arctic hare, and ground squirrels. The Arctic lynx looks like a combination of bobcat, wolf or dog. They have fur on their whole body, even the paws. Their fur is grey and brown. Their fur is long and that keeps them warm in the winter. On the top of their ears there is a point of fur. Their ears allow them to hear very well when hunting for food. They have big furry paws that work like snowshoes so that it will not fall into the snow. The Arctic lynx mainly lives around the tundra in North America. In the winter, their coat gradually turns into a lighter color to blend into the snow. In the summer months, they are normally found in the true tundra. Their coat turns brown in the summer and that helps them blend in with the tundra grass and shrubs. This is called camouflage.
