Macaque

Where it lives: The macaque lives in the rain forests of southern India, China, Vietnam and the islands of Asia.

What it looks like: The lion tailed macaques are about 24 inches tall. Their tails are about 15 inches tall. They weigh about 22 pounds. Rhesus macaques are 2 feet and weigh 25 to35 lbs. Lion tailed macaques babys are born with black fur, and their heads and hands are pink and hairless. Their silver manes don't grow until the babys are several weeks old.

Habitat: Rhesus macaques live in lots of habitats like the strangler fig up in the canopy.

What it eats: Macaques eat flowers, fruits, plants and insects.

Special Features: Macaques are very good swimers. Lion tailed macaque can also be called lion faced because of it's silver mane. Macaques will store there food and findings in there cheek pouches.

What are their enemies: Macaques enemies are big lizards and snakes.
