Apearance: The moose is six and three fourths to nine feet long. The moose is six to seven feet tall. A female moose weighs seven hundred to one-thousand three hundred and the male weighs nine hundred to one thousand six hundred pounds. The moose is usually found in wooded areas, by lakes and in moist conditions. The moose is found there because it likes to take baths, get food and get a drink.

Habitat: The moose is in most of Asia, Alaska and Europe. In Europe they call moose elk. The moose lives in Asia, Alaska, Europe and the U.S.A.

Food: The moose eats leaves, trees, bark, twigs, water plants, and ground plants for a diet. The moose is usually eating plants, water plants and twigs. The moose eats willows, water plants, woody plants, bark, leaves, shrubs and herbs. The moose chews a mouthfull before swallowing. In the summer the moose feeds on water and the moose will stick his head under the water to drink. When people burn, log or put trees on fire it gives moose a lot of food.

Enemies: The moose enemies are the wolf, black and brown bears and the worst enemy of all is a human. The moose is usualy killed in the winter by wolves because they don't have antlers.

Life Cycle: The moose has a baby or two after eight months of mating. The moose only lives in the wild for fifteen to twenty years. The adult moose has a spotted coat to camouflage. In the summer baby moose don't have a spotted coat.

Other Facts: The moose will stick it's head under the water to drink the water. The moose has a couple cousins the Caribou and the Reindeer. Males always have antlers. The largest antlers belong to a moose in Alaska they are six feet long. A full grown moose can get to six feet. Moose go south for the winter or they migrate. Moose somtimes go into the water and take a bath then they shake it off like a dog. Younger moose and a older moose will get nose to nose and if the younger one does not retreat they will fight and the one that wins gets to mate. When two bulls fight they brace their antlers and shove and push sometimes they will fight to death. The largest moose in the world is in Europe. A moose runs silently through the woods. A moose can run up to thirty-five miles an hour. Over a long distance of runing a moose can only run twenty miles an hour. When a moose is five it can out run a human. A moose can get up to six miles an hour tredding water.
