Emperor penguin

Appearance: The emperpor penguin has a soft orange neck,with a black back and a black beek. It has a little orange spot. There is some orange on the sides and a nice white belly with soft a yellow splotches at the top. The average adult emperpor penguin is about one meter in height and 3 kilograms. It has special feathers to keep warm. The emperor penguins have a length of 115 inches. The feathers lenth is 4.2 c.m.Their average weight is around 3 kg.

Habitat: The emperor penguin lives in the arctic some other kinds of penguins live in other parts of the Southern Hemisphere. No penguins live in the Northern Hemisphere.

Food: The emperor penguin eats fish, krill, squid, and shrimp.

Enemies: The emperor penguin enemies are the killer whales, leapord seals, and walrus.

Life Cycle:They only lay two eggs in their whole life. They lay in May and June. When a baby emperor penguin is born it weighs about 11 ounces. When emperor penguins are born their skin, and the feather that they have. The emperor penguin lives with its mother for five months then it lives by its self. They are 4 feet when they are grownups. They do not make nests. They hold the eggs on their wings. If an egg was to touch the ground the egg would frezze.

Other Facts: The emperor pengiun male does not eat for 62-64 days.They speak by sounds. The emperor penguin can stay under water 850 ft for 18 min. They were discoverd by Johann Reinhold Foster. Sir Francis Drake and his men killed 1000 penguins in only one day! Grownup pengiuns can be made into oil, hats, purses, and the eggs are used for food. Penguins have a sickness called pesticide which can kill people.
