Elizabeth Petrovna
Elizabeth Petrovna was born on the 18, December, 1709 her parents were Peter Alexeiovich Romanov and Catharine Skavronska. She married Alexis Razumovsky on 1750. Elizabeth avoiveded political struggle until November, 25, 1741 she went to the Barracks ofPreobrazhenski and some important officers to follow her. They arrested the braunshweig family and some senior offocials and Elizabeth Petrovna became Tsarina of Russia. On the 25, of April 1742 Elizabeth Petronova was crowned in the Dormition Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin. During Elizabeth's rule Aristocracy increased their power hold over the goverment and the peasentry while French cultural influence grew steadily in the Russian society Russian defeated won two major wars, the War of the Austrian succession, 1740-48 and Seven years war, 1746-63, and so set the scene for the later Partitions of Poland. Elizabeth arranged the Russian succession by bringing her nephew, Prince of Holstein, later called Tsar Peter III, to Russia and arranging his marriage whith German princess Sophia of Anhalt-Zerbst, later called Catherine the Great. Elizabeth died on the 25 of December , 1761 leaving no heir. She was buried in the Cathedral of St.Peter and St.Paul Fortress in St.Petersburg. And Russia became so important that all countries were eager to make treaties. After all, Elizabeth did she was unhappy with what she did for Russia. She wanted victory over Prussia, but she was weak in the last years and she didn't want real war until her last days of life.
