Imagine seeing the sky on fire, or the clouds in the starry sky ablaze with green flames. This is what many people thought while viewing the Aurora Borealis for the time. For centuries we have marveled at the amazing sight of the Burning Sky, never to truly understand it. Throughout the 20^th century, scientists have uncovered a few facts about this beautiful wonder.
