Cassowary

by Eleanor

What does your animal eat?

The cassowary mainly feeds on berries and plants. Sometimes they will kill small animals for meat. And they also eat fruits (fallen fruits) and seeds and insects and also worms. They also eat frogs and snakes and dead animals. The horn also digs for food. The rainforest gives the cassowary food all year round. It eats the fruit whole so the fruit can grow again. It is the only bird that does that. It also eats snails. And it eats jungle fruit leaves and plum seeds.
