3-D's Rain Forest Choose-Your-Own-Adventure
Each part of the story was written by a different student. Try to find the way to the last page, where the Spix's Macaw is finally located.
You are on a misson, you trying to find the Spix's Macaw. They are endangered! You think there is only one left. You start off in a helicopter. You land in the rainforest, it is a still quiet place. You start the search. You must get the Spix's Macaw by March! Because people will come to cut their favorite tree - The Palm Grove (Palm trees). It is now January. You have two months. If you don't find it by then they'll be gone forever! So you start out, you go straight for a while. Soon you spot a Squrriel Monkey. You know it's a New World monkey because you are in South America, not Asia. Also it can use its tail ( It is called a " fifth hand" ). The Squrril Monkey eats berries, nuts and fruit. You go to the right, away from the pond. You see a very, very big tree. You take out a notepad and look through it, this tree is called Buttress tree and it has orchids on it. ( They are a type of flower ). You go around it. You hear rushing water, soon you see a river, it has a beautiful waterfall. After a while you spot another tree. You look up, you see a snake. It sees you too. It is an Anaconda! Anacondas eat large roadents, birds and lizzards. It is getting closer. You run for your life. You stop to catch a breath. Your guide was there the whole time, but you ignored him. Your ears perk up at the word Macaw. He said " The Palm Grove is very, very far away." What do you want to do?
