Some Japanese have rice at every meal. Rice grows best with it's feet in the water and it's head in the sunlight. The rice plants dry out before getting ripe. The rice paddy is bird heaven. The birds can have all their favorite foods there. People eat the seed part of rice plants only. Rice has been grown for over 7,000 years.
